Assistance with product faults, warranty enquiries and claims.

1. Our Warranty Commitment

AutoVex Parts aims to provide clear and accurate information about the products available through our website.

Some products may be supplied with a manufacturer's warranty or an additional commercial guarantee. Where available, the applicable coverage, duration and conditions will be stated in the product listing or accompanying documentation.

Warranty protection is separate from your statutory consumer rights. Regardless of whether a product includes a commercial warranty, goods purchased from us must meet applicable legal requirements.

Important: AutoVex Parts does not apply a single fixed commercial warranty period to every product. Always check the individual product details for the specific manufacturer's warranty or guarantee.

2. Warranty Coverage by Product Type

Warranty coverage may vary according to the product, brand and manufacturer. The following information explains the types of issues that may be considered under an applicable product warranty.

Product Category Potential Warranty Coverage
Engine & Mechanical Parts Manufacturing defects, faulty materials or workmanship, subject to the applicable terms.
Brake Components Manufacturing defects in eligible brake discs, pads and related parts. Normal friction wear is generally not covered by commercial warranties.
Suspension & Steering Eligible defects in materials or manufacturing, subject to product-specific conditions.
Alloy Wheels Eligible structural or manufacturing defects. Cosmetic or impact damage may be excluded from a commercial warranty.
Tyres Eligible manufacturing defects subject to the tyre manufacturer's warranty terms and assessment.
Electrical Components Eligible manufacturing faults affecting the normal operation of the product.
Automotive Accessories Product-specific defects covered by an applicable manufacturer warranty or commercial guarantee.

This table is general guidance and does not create additional warranty coverage. Your statutory rights apply independently of any manufacturer's warranty.

3. Warranty Duration

The duration of a commercial warranty depends on the product and the terms offered by its manufacturer or guarantor.

  • Check the product description for any stated warranty period.
  • Review the manufacturer's warranty documentation for applicable conditions.
  • Keep your order confirmation and purchase information for future reference.
  • Contact our support team if you need clarification about warranty coverage.

A commercial warranty's expiry does not automatically end your statutory rights regarding faulty goods.

4. What May Not Be Covered?

Commercial warranties commonly contain exclusions. Depending on the applicable manufacturer or guarantor terms, these may include:

  • Normal wear and tear from regular vehicle use.
  • Accidental damage, collisions, impacts or misuse.
  • Damage caused by incorrect installation or improper maintenance.
  • Damage resulting from unauthorised modifications or alterations.
  • Use outside the manufacturer's recommended specifications.
  • Cosmetic damage caused after delivery, including scratches or kerb damage.
  • Damage from road hazards, punctures or external objects where not covered by an additional guarantee.
  • Damage resulting from incompatible vehicle applications.
Please note: Commercial warranty exclusions cannot override your statutory rights. A product that is faulty, not as described or otherwise fails to meet legal requirements may still qualify for a remedy under UK consumer law.

5. Warranty for Alloy Wheels

Alloy wheels should be selected and installed according to the vehicle manufacturer's specifications.

Depending on the applicable commercial warranty, manufacturing defects affecting wheel structure or materials may be covered.

Damage caused by potholes, kerb impacts, collisions, incorrect wheel fitting or unsuitable modifications may be excluded from commercial warranty coverage.

If you discover a crack, distortion or another potential safety defect, stop using the affected wheel and contact us for assistance.

6. Warranty for Tyres

Tyre warranty terms vary by manufacturer. Some manufacturers provide guarantees against eligible manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship.

Commercial tyre warranties may exclude damage caused by:

  • Punctures and road hazards.
  • Incorrect tyre pressure or overloading.
  • Improper wheel alignment or balancing.
  • Incorrect fitting or unsuitable use.
  • Normal tread wear and ageing.

If you suspect a tyre is defective, avoid further use where safety may be affected. Contact us with the product details and a description of the problem.

Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 remain unaffected by commercial warranty exclusions.

7. Installation & Vehicle Compatibility

Automotive parts should be selected carefully and installed in accordance with applicable manufacturer guidance.

We recommend using a suitably qualified mechanic or tyre-fitting professional where specialist installation is required.

Before installation, check relevant part numbers, vehicle compatibility, dimensions and specifications.

Where a claim concerns an installed product, we may request installation details or a diagnostic report if reasonably necessary to assess the reported fault.

Professional installation is not a blanket requirement for exercising statutory consumer rights. Any installation-related commercial warranty conditions will be stated in the applicable warranty terms.

8. How to Make a Warranty Claim

If you believe a product is faulty or covered by an applicable warranty, follow the steps below.

1

Contact Our Team

Email support@autovexparts.co.uk with your order number and a description of the issue.

2

Product Assessment

We will review the information and explain any reasonable inspection or return requirements.

3

Claim Resolution

We will arrange the appropriate remedy where required by law or applicable warranty terms.

Please provide the following information where available:

  • Your order number and purchase date.
  • Product name, brand and part number.
  • A description of the reported fault.
  • Photographs or videos showing the issue, where practical.
  • Relevant vehicle details and installation information, where necessary.

We may need to inspect the product or consult the manufacturer to determine whether a commercial warranty applies. This does not delay or remove any statutory remedy that is already due.

9. Repairs, Replacements & Refunds

If goods do not meet the requirements of the Consumer Rights Act 2015, you may be entitled to a refund, repair, replacement or price reduction, depending on the circumstances.

  • First 30 days: You generally have a short-term right to reject non-conforming goods and receive a refund.
  • After 30 days: You may be entitled to a repair or replacement, followed by further remedies where the legal conditions are satisfied.
  • First six months: Certain faults are generally presumed to have been present at delivery, unless the retailer proves otherwise or the presumption is incompatible with the goods or fault.

Any repair or replacement required by law must be provided within a reasonable time, without significant inconvenience and at no necessary cost to you.

Remedies provided solely under an additional commercial warranty are governed by its applicable terms.

10. Return Shipping for Warranty Claims

If a product is faulty or otherwise fails to conform to the contract, AutoVex Parts will cover reasonable necessary return costs where required under UK consumer law.

For large or heavy products such as alloy wheels, tyres and bulky automotive components, we may arrange collection or provide appropriate return instructions.

Please contact us before arranging specialist transport so we can explain the available options.

For a voluntary manufacturer's warranty claim not covered by statutory rights, shipping arrangements will follow the applicable guarantee terms.

11. Manufacturer Warranty Claims

Certain products may include additional protection offered directly by the manufacturer.

We can assist with identifying relevant warranty documentation and the appropriate claims process.

However, where your claim relates to statutory rights against AutoVex Parts as the retailer, you do not have to rely solely on the manufacturer.

12. Your Rights Under UK Consumer Law

The Consumer Rights Act 2015 requires goods sold to consumers to be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose where applicable and as described.

Statutory remedies may remain available beyond the expiry of a commercial warranty. In England and Wales, contractual claims can generally be brought within six years, but this is not a six-year product warranty and does not mean every fault is automatically covered.

Normal wear, misuse and the circumstances of a particular fault can affect whether a statutory remedy is available.

Nothing in this policy excludes, limits or replaces your statutory consumer rights.

13. Warranty Enquiries & Support

If you have questions about product warranties, compatibility, manufacturer guarantees or potential faults, our customer support team can help.

Please include your order number and relevant product details when contacting us.
